About Pastor Zach

Born in South Carolina in 1996, I was blessed to be raised in a godly Christian home. I am the third of nine children and growing up, I was often the epicenter of trouble and conflict. My parents needed to constantly remind me that my problem was a heart issue that I could not solve on my own. At the age of eight, I remember seeing a friend of mine walk down the aisle for an altar call on a Sunday morning. I figured it was about the time for me to do so as well. However, it was not until later at the lunch table that my parents more thoroughly explained the gospel of Jesus Christ to me. I repented of my sins, and believed in Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life.

Nearly a decade later, it was the time of life when people would ask me what my plans were after high school. I wanted to graduate my junior year, get a degree in computational science, and enter the workforce. Bringing my plan to my parents, they decided it would be better for me to wait and graduate my senior year instead. This wrench in my plan was God's tool to bring me to something better. That summer instead of prepping for college, I went on a mission trip for the first time. The Lord made it clear to me that He was calling me into full time ministry. No audible voice, just the clear conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Instead of a computational degree, I attended Moody Bible Institute where I met the first and only love of my life, Alicia. We both were in the missionary program and looked forward to the day when we would go. We got married prior to covid, but the epidemic saw few missionaries leave for the field. Rather, we came back to Beaufort, SC. Over time, we asked, sought, and knocked, but the Lord continued to close doors. But He left a one open.

I started working for Community Bible Church, the church I grew up in. Working in various ministries, I was blessed to simultaneously pursue an M.A. in Biblical Languages through Liberty University. I was called as the director and ultimately ordained as the Pastor of Youth Ministries at CBC. I love the ministry I am in, but I feel the call of the Lord towards a ministry that is not limited by a demographic. Through the recommendation of my senior pastor, I am now in search of such a role.
